BSB51915 - Diploma of Leadership and Management


This qualification reflects the role of individuals who apply knowledge, practical skills and experience in leadership and management across a range of enterprise and industry contexts.

Individuals at this level display initiative and judgement in planning, organising, implementing and monitoring their own workload and the workload of others. They use communication skills to support individuals and teams to meet organisational or enterprise requirements.

They plan, design, apply and evaluate solutions to unpredictable problems, and identify, analyse and synthesise information from a variety of sources.


This course will be suitable for existing workers and for those with past study in this area or past experience in Management and Leadership.
It is also suitable for supervisors looking to progress into management. It is also suitable for specialist areas where employees may require specific certifications.

The BSB51915 Diploma of Leadership and Management is a widely focused course, especially suited to those wishing to upskill in several business. It is designed specifically for supervisors or middle managers that have responsibility for a team of people, as well as those who participate in operational planning and are involved in change management.

This level of qualification is anticipated that the students will be:

• Existing employees with minimal vocational experience or outdated vocational experience and require up skilling or require formal qualifications.
• Individuals learning new skills and knowledge
• Individuals who are wanting to change careers
• Individuals with Certificate IV wishing to extend their skills and knowledge

7.BSBRSK501 : Manage risk

8.BSBWHS521 : Ensure a safe workplace

9.BSBWOR501 : Manage personal work priorities and professional development

10.BSBADM502 : Manage meetings

11.BSBHRM513 : Manage workforce planning

12.BSBMKG507 : Interpret market trends and developments

Upon successful completion of all requirements for this qualification graduates will be awarded BSB51915 Diploma of Leadership and Management. Participants exiting prior to completion of all requirements will be
awarded a Statement of Attainment from BSB51915 Diploma of Leadership and Management. for those units successfully completed at the time of exit. However, Australian Learning Institute cannot accept, and expressly
disclaim, all responsibility and liability in respect to participants failing this qualification in part or in whole. Furthermore, Australian Learning Institute cannot be held responsible in respect to finding participants any position opening, during and/or after completion of this qualification. It is the individual responsibility to seek external resources that may assist in finding work and a suitable position.
Students will be asked to commit to a total of up to 9.5 hours per week study for a period of up to 12 months. Assessments consists of work tasks, written questions, report and/or project
