Overview
The CHCSS00138 – Mental Health Assistance Skill Set is a nationally recognised training program designed to equip learners with the essential skills and knowledge to support individuals experiencing mental health challenges.
This skill set is ideal for those currently working, or seeking to work, in aged care, disability support, community services, or health care roles where providing mental health support is part of daily responsibilities.
Learners will develop a strong understanding of mental health conditions, effective communication strategies, and how to promote recovery-oriented care in a safe and respectful manner.

Entry Requirements
There are no formal prerequisites for this qualification.

- Hold or be eligible to obtain a National Police Check or NDIS Worker Screening Check (as required for work placement)
- Be currently employed in, or have access to, a relevant care or support environment (recommended)
