Overview
The CHCSS00141 – Child Protection Skill Set is a nationally recognised training program designed to provide learners with the essential skills and knowledge to recognise, respond to, and support the safety and wellbeing of children and young people.
This skill set is ideal for individuals working or seeking to work in early childhood education, disability support, community services, health care, or youth work — where identifying and responding to signs of abuse, neglect, or harm is a key responsibility.
You’ll gain the knowledge to ensure children and young people are protected, respected, and supported in accordance with legal and organisational frameworks.

Entry Requirements
There are no formal prerequisites for this qualification.
- Have basic English, literacy, and numeracy skills
- Be at least 16 years of age (18+ preferred)
- Hold or be willing to obtain a Working with Children Check (WWCC) and/or National Police Check (as required by placement or employer)
