Provide First Aid (formerly Apply First Aid or Senior First Aid) is a comprehensive first aid course suitable for everyday emergency situations. This course is suitable for a senior first aider or person looking to gain skills in managing an unconscious patient, performing CPR, treating burns, wounds and bleeding, assisting someone who is choking, handling medical emergencies such as chest pain, asthma or anaphylaxis, reacting appropriately to someone who is in shock, and treating fractures and head, neck and spinal injuries.
WHY SHOULD I COMPLETE THIS COURSE?
Provide First Aid course is the minimum requirement for workplace first aid compliance. Provide First Aid unit of competency provides you with the skills and knowledge required to provide first aid response, life support, management of casualty(s), the incident and other First Aiders until emergency qualified help arrives at the scene of the accident.

WITHDRAWING FROM A QUALIFICATION
You may withdraw from this qualification and receive, where relevant, a Statement of Attainment for all units of competency you have successfully completed.
Students who have completed units from their course at other institutions will be given recognition on presentation of a verified transcript, Award or Statement of Attainment.

COMMITMENT AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Upon successful completion of all requirements for this qualification graduates will be awarded BSB30415 - Certificate III in Business Administration. Participants exiting prior to completion of all requirements will be awarded a Statement of Attainment from BSB30415 - Certificate III in Business Administration for those units successfully completed at the time of exit. However, Australian Learning Institute cannot accept, and expressly disclaim, all responsibility and liability in respect to participants failing this qualification in part or in whole. Furthermore, Australian Learning Institute cannot be held responsible in respect to finding participants any position opening, during and/or after completion of this qualification. It is the individual responsibility to seek external resources that may assist in finding work and a suitable position.
STUDY AND ASSSESSMENT LOAD
Participants must be 14 years or older and will be required to complete a self-assessment form prior to attending training. During First Aid training participants will be required to work at a range of height levels.
Participants will also be required to kneel for a minimum of two (2) minutes for Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) assessment and to roll onto your back, side and/or stomach. Please wear appropriate clothing for practical skills assessment at ground level.
PLEASE NOTE: CPR training manikins used in this course contain latex.
• Completed year 10 or equivalent
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Have enough LLN skills to enable reading and analysing relevant legislative, regulatory and industry documentation
Students are issued with learning materials and handouts relevant to each unit.
Assessments vary with each unit. You will be provided with an assessment guide.
